Krewe Allons to Partner with Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation on Art of Business Program

LAFAYETTE, LA – August 21, 2024 – Krewe Allons, the collective for Louisiana Athletics, announces a partnership with Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation to implement the Art of Business program for Ragin’ Cajuns student- athletes.

The initiative aims to support the personal and professional development of UL student-athletes through educational workshops, individual programming, and a variety of other resources. These resources will include, but are not limited to, financial literacy, contract negotiation, branding, and marketing strategies. Student- athletes will be provided opportunities to enhance their personal brand while fostering a supportive environment for their academic and athletic endeavors.

“We are very excited about the Art of Business program and its integration into our Collective,” said Dr. Bryan Maggard, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. “By providing our student-athletes the necessary resources to grow personally and professionally, Krewe Allons continues to support and reinforce the true essence of Name, Image, and Likeness by helping our young men and women grow and benefit from their personal brands well beyond college.”

Along with individual mentorship, the program will facilitate connections with local businesses and national brands, creating a robust network of support for Ragin’ Cajuns student-athletes. These partnerships will enhance the professional development of student-athletes while maintaining their academic and athletic commitments.
